Log No 118. Sun 1st Sep 2013 - A rest day at Tayvallich (1832 miles walked)

It's maybe just as well that I had today as a rest day since the weather was poor with wind and rain.

Walking on the roads in the rain, my boots do keep most of the water out but while I had the day off I gave them a coating of wax.
When I've had to go through bogs my right foot was getting wet so we'll see if this makes any difference.

One good thing with staying more than one night in the same place is that I get a chance to vary my diet from the usual tin of some kind of meat with noodles or rice.

As you can see, tonight I had potatoes, mushrooms, haggis, spam and beans followed by creamed rice and fruit cocktail then a mug of tea and a couple of apple pies to finish off with.

It will be a wild camp tomorrow night so I hope the weather calms down, if it stays like this for much longer I am coming home to pick up the campervan.
