Log No 120. Tue 3rd Sep 2013 - Point of Knap to Port Ban near Kilberry, 15 miles (1867 miles walked)
Looking to Loch Caolisport |
The weather was like yesterday and it was light rain going along the track, I don't know how I managed it but I was away by 07.40.
Coming down to Ellary I met a man out with his dog, he happened to be from York and he said the forecast for today and the next 2 days was "not too bad", "bad" and "good on Thursaday".
Looking back across the loch to Ellary |
The rain began to ease after 10.00 and I took my first break on the sandy shore looking back over the loch.
Blue sky and the sea |
On my rest day on Sunday I had washed my t-shirt & pants and this was the first opportunity I had to try to get them dried on the back of my rucsac.
Snow White |
I was starting to find plenty of brambles ready now so eating enough fruit is not going to be a problem.
Looking to Kilberry Head |
I don't think I have camped as close to the shore as I am doing today, I hope it doesn't blow up a storm tonight.
Today's 15 miles were easy and it is all road walking again tomorrow.
