Low mist over the rivers
The day dawned cloudy but dry with very little wind and I managed to going at 08.05.

From the campsite I took a short bridleway to the main road, B3289, leading to Truro, I was a couple of miles away from Truro River but I could see that the valley was full of low mist.

It took an hour to get to Truro where I picked up noodles and a tin of mince & onion for tonights tea then I crossed the river and took a minor road out of the town to get to the next river crossing.

A quiet minor road
I had to go on the main A390 through Tresillian but there was a pavement to walk on.

At the end of the village the road crossed Tresillian River and I got back on to the minor roads.

Most of these roads had hardly any traffic on and it was quite peaceful but there were still plenty of steep climbs involved.

Ruan River
I stopped for lunch by Ruan River after having crossed the third and final river of the day, River Fal, now I had to head back west again, towards where I started from this morning.

I went through the very small villages of Ruan Lanihorne and Philleigh to meet up with the B3289 again, it would have been so much easier and quicker to have taken the King Harry Ferry across.

Campsite at Trethem Mill
The weather had been slowly improving all day but the sun didn't quite manage to break through.

I arrived at the campsite at 14.50, a reasonable time for the 18 miles but still slower than I was a year ago when I started!!

This is a luxurious campsite, well worth the extra pound, the last two sites were £8 and this one £9, and it had a camp shop so I bought myself a pudding as well.

The sun finally came out and helped dry out the tent, I would like to be able to take down a dry tent in the morning.

It is a longer walk tomorrow and possibly another wild camp.
