Log No 67. Fri 14th Jun 2013 - Day off - rest and repair (1110 miles walked)

I had a real lazy day today and didn't even start thinking about making my porridge until 8am, 2 hours later than usual.

After breakfast I set about repairing my rucsac, I don't have much in my first aid kit but I do have needles and thread, I've seen Rambo stitch himself together.

It hadn't been used for a while and was all in a raffle, I tried unraveling it but just succeeded in breaking the eye of the darning needle, strong thread!

The warden's wife at the campsite gave more needles and thread, the thread was too weak so I had to persevere with mine, anyway I eventually got the job done.

I wasn't expecting to be near another shop for a while so I had 3 days of sandwiches to make up, no leftover bread this time!

In the afternoon I lay outside on my roll mat in the sunshine and read a book.

Later on, back in the tent, I noticed there seemed to be less air in the mat, I put it down to the cooler temperature.

Apparently the weather for the next few days is cloudy but dry, good walking conditions.
