I have just got caught up with your travels again. Your route is very interesting some places I have visited when Bill was alive and we were on holiday.

Coasting Round Britain

30th March 2013 to 12th July 2014
Altnaharrie to Gairloch (14)
1313 out of 5630 miles completed

Log No 81. Sun 14th Jul 2013 - Ivors Bothy to Gairloch, 15 miles (1313 miles walked)

Looking back over Camas Mor
My night in the bothy was uneventful, I thought I might have heard mice scratching around as I had seen some droppings but all was quiet.

After a leisurely breakfast sat at a table I left at 08.20 and, after watching an eagle for a few minutes, followed a good footpath along the top of the cliffs to the Outdoor Centre at the lighthouse.

Lighthouse at Rubha Reidh
The weather was the same as yesterday but with a stronger south-westerly wind.

There was a good road from the lighthouse but it was inland a little bit and as it was on a slope I had no views.

Melvaig
Once I got near Melvaig the view did improve slightly.

The best section of the day came when I left the road at North Errsdale and followed a short footpath over the hill to the settlement at Big Sand, which happened to have a big sandy beach.

Looking to Gairloch
From here it was back on the road to the campsite at Gairloch.

A short, fairly boring, 15 miles.
