Mick
It was another day of showers, with more rain than clear spells. Luckily it was dry when we took the tents down and we set off at 08.00.

We tried to find the path without success so once again we used deer trails heading in the right general direction, eventually coming across the path, making life a bit easier.

We had a few streams to cross, made a bit more difficult with the extra water coming down the hill, before dropping back down to the shore.

Dave on path to Ceanna Mor
We lost the path again but followed the line of the electricity poles as they went up the hill to miss the rocky headland of Ceanna Mor.

Looking to Kingairloch
We came back down to the path at the edge of Loch a' Choire and went round the head of the loch to the road to Kingairloch.

It was only 3 miles but it took over 2 hours.

The road from Kingairloch along Loch Linnhe
We were now going to be on the road all the way to Ft William, we surely couldn't lose the road.

The single track road was not in good condition, lots of pot holes and grass growing in the centre as it hugged the bottom of the cliff at the edge of Loch Linnhe.

It did improve once it went inland a bit to join the main A861 road.

Looking to the Ballahulish Bridge
The weather was worsening with the showers becoming heavier and the cloud lower, at times unable to see across the loch.

We made up some of the lost time and got to Corran at 16.45.

It was still raining so we went in The Inn at Ardgour, at the Corran Ferry Terminal and had a pot of tea. We had to wait until 17.30 before evening meals were being served, finally leaving at 16.30.

Corran Ferry
It was still raining as we walked another mile, finding a suitable patch of grass on the shore to pitch the tents. It would be nice to have a dry night for a change.

20 miles, a hard start but easy finish.
