Log No 73. Thu 20th Jun 2013 - Ardmair to Ullapool, 4 miles (1208 miles walked)

I was only going to Ullapool today, a mere 4 miles, I had a work commitment coming up and the date was just confirmed for Wednesday the 26th June.

I needed to plan my walking to ensure I could get back to Orkney in time for it, hence the stop at Ullapool.

Packing up this morning I discovered I had lost the under-strap off one of my gaiters, it must have come off yesterday.

It was a leisurely start and an amble along the main road ignoring the rocky headland.

Tourist Information gave me the bus timetable for the next section to Gairloch, it wasn't difficult to memorize:
The Westerbus service runs only on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday leaving Gairloch at 07.45 for a connecting service at Braemore Junction.

I am going to have to finish walking on Sunday somewhere near a bus stop.

Tomorrow's walk is on a large mountainous headland so I am unsure how much of it I will be able to do.
