Log No 76. Sun 23rd Jun 2013 - Badrallach to Badcaul, 14 miles (1251 miles walked)

It started raining last night at 6 o' clock and it's still raining now as I am writing this log at 19.30, it hasn't let up all day.

Fortunately today was just walking on the roads up one side of Little Loch Broom and down the other to the campsite at Badcaul.

I have obviously been amongst sheep too long, on the road I came upon a ewe and her newborn, the ewe ran off and the lamb attached itself to me regardless of it's mothers baas. It took quite a while to persuade it I was not it's mother.

All this rain has certainly made a difference to the amount of water in the rivers, I'm relieved I don't have to try to ford any.

14 miles with no views, you could rarely see across to the other side of the loch.

Hopefully I shall catch the only bus first thing in the morning and get home in the evening, it may be up to 2 weeks before I can resume my trek.
