Looking over Loch Melfort
There was no change in the weather, in fact it rained more persistently with just the occasional 5 minute dry spell.

The best view I had today was coming down off the hill, apart from that one view it was not a day for scenic photos.

Loch Melfort
Loch Melfort was like most of the lochs south of Ft William, full of yachts and marinas.

It took me 2 hours to get round the head of Loch Melfort and then I was on the main road again.

With the rain I never felt like stopping for a break, not that there was anywhere to stop, but after 3 hours I take a standup 10 minutes in a layby near Arduaine.

A couple of miles after Arduaine I took the minor road along the loch to Craobh Haven, this had a big marina and a pub, I arrived at 11.45 and after 4 hours of walking in the rain decided to treat myself to a meal and save my sandwiches for tea.

I spent an hour and a half in the pub and with my ankles suitably rested set off in the rain again.

Loch Craignish
During my last break home I had thought it feasible to walk along the coastline of this headland but with the weather the way it was and because there was no path I once again took the easy option.

I stayed on the road to Lungs then took the track through the forest over the hill to Ardfern. The map showed only the one track but I found others and it took me a while to get on the right one.

Ardfern was on the shore of Loch Craignish and this loch was also full of yachts.

I didn't intend going much further today and after getting back on the main road was looking for a pitch.

I found one down a forest track, it wasn't ideal but the rain stopped long enough to pitch it in the dry, not that It would have made much difference as the tent was wet from packing it up this morning.

The seam sealant seems to be losing it's effectiveness but it's not as bad as It was.

17 wet miles in 7.5 hours.
