Log No 226. Sun 26th Jan 2014 - A day off (3443 miles walked)

Ah, luxury, a campsite with all the facilities. I even washed my one pair of socks and t-shirt that I have been wearing for walking for the last 2 weeks!!

There is no public transport to get to Freshwater West, where I finished yesterday, until Thursday but as I was going to have to walk inland on the road from there because of MOD firing ranges I will walk the equivalent distance from the campsite to meet up with the road back to the coast.

Some of the stitching on my trousers had given up so I managed to get that re-stitched today.

The metal tip on the end of one of my walking poles finally disintegrated, they have been in constant use since May so they haven't done bad. All in all, my equipment and clothing is holding out well.

I'll be in this campsite, just outside Pembroke, tomorrow night as well.
