We shall miss our morning fix of updates! Enjoy the luxury of being at home. (by Karen & Mick)
Ticks? Yuck!! Make sure you get medical attention though as they can transmit Lyme's disease which can be pretty horrible! Hope you are doing OK!

Coasting Round Britain

Banff to Inverness (7)

Log No 38. Tue 7th May 2013 - A pre-planned break. (633 miles walked)

Because I have a commitment to be back in Orkney for the weekend 10th May my original plan was to get the ferry from Aberdeen on Thursday 9th, but after getting to Lossiemouth a day or so earlier than I had thought I would I had a rethink.

I was intending using Peter's (my son) house in Kinloss as a base for a couple of days, Peter is away so his house is empty but I was to pick up the key after my break, however as Kinloss was my next stop from Lossiemouth and I hadn't got the key I decided to start my break 2 days early.

Who mentioned Ticks ??? When I got home I found one trying to take a blood sample from my leg, it wasn't there when I had a shower in the morning so it must have been hiding in my clothing waiting for an opportune moment to strike, I hope it enjoyed it's last supper!

I'm not certain what day I will get back to Lossiemouth but normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

Thanks for all your comments and donations so far.

Tue 14th May

I'll be heading back tomorrow and resume walking on Thursday from Lossiemouth.

Mick will join me late on Friday 24th May in Tain for a week so we will be at John o' Groats by the end of the month.
When Mick goes back Sandra is coming across with the camper to see me as far as Durness.
